Hi!

Well hello there!

I have no idea why I've decided to start blogging. But here goes my first shot!

I'm just a small town girl still screaming her way into the city. City life has definitely been an adventure for me! Currently, I'm a fun-loving full time university student in Vancouver, B.C. (Canada). I'm a linguistics major and psychology extended minor with hopes (at this point, small hopes but more on that later) of getting into graduate school for Speech Language Pathology. I live with my amazing boyfriend J, a rockin' roomate R and my two "kids", Kirby the cat and Joe the bearded dragon. The boys make my life so much fun and always keep me laughing (and cleaning .. and cooking! :P) while my "kids" fulfill my maternal instincts lol. My life is a simple but complicated mix of school, volunteer work (more on that later too!), my home life, a few of my incredible family members (both blood and in-laws) and my awe-inspiring friends both near and far. I'm so lucky to have such awesome people in my life. I don't know where I'd be without them!

Other than linguistics and psychology I have a lot of interests. I love to be active, though I am not the most coordinated girl out there, I never learned how to control or work these long, gangly arms and legs! I love to ski, especially with J and my family, J and I have recently taken up tennis and I love to run, walk and just be outside. As a seriously small town, country girl, I live to camp, 4x4, go muddin' and spend long days at the river or lake. I'm definitely happiest up some dirt backroad with just J, Kirby and Joe with our gear and some refreshing bevvies. I live for trips to my cabin in the Cariboo and goin' up to Thompson country to visit J's fam in the Loops. Anything that gets me outta the city for a few days is right up my alley! I'm also pretty low-key and am a notorious bookworm and would love to be a travel-junkie!

As I'm wrapping up my undergraduate degree my future is becoming more and more real and wide-open. I'm really excited about the possibility of leaving the city for good and starting a family life. There are so many options open to us right now its a bit overwhelming but we have a lot of time to think it through. I have an idea of what my ideal life would be and we're just working on seeing if we can make that happen! Should be interesting anywho! :)

Well, I have a ton of housework and homework just waiting for my attention so I must run!
